Module 5 · Teams and collaboration

Teams & Collaboration

Procedures change. Collaboration in Ask Compass makes every change visible, reviewed and reversible, so people can trust the version they follow.

Example

A change, from draft to published

In the demo, switch to the Editor role, change a procedure and submit it. Then switch to Approver to compare and approve.

  1. Step Editor drafts a change
  2. Exception Checks flag a missing answer
  3. Approval Approver compares old and newReject → back to the editor with a comment
  4. Outcome v2 published; users notified

Ask Compass Studio

Change procedures safely, with a person in the loop.

Studio is where procedures are written, reviewed and kept current. Every step below works in the prototype today.

  1. Draft

Editors change a copy. Everyone keeps following the approved version.

  2. Check

Studio flags missing answers, dead ends and steps nobody can reach.

  3. Review

Approvers compare old and new side by side, then approve or return it with a comment.

  4. Publish

A new version goes live. Older versions stay in the history and can be restored.

  5. Notify and learn

People who use the procedure are told it changed. Flags and drop-offs show what to fix next.

  • Linked procedures One procedure can hand off to another, such as an identity check, and come back.
  • Step-level search Search finds the exact step, not just the document.
  • Roles Viewer, Editor, Approver and Admin each see what they need.
  • Audit log Every edit, approval and restore is recorded.
